It was 1968 when Bob and Leanne Butzlaff moved to California to continue with Bobs dream of owning a gas station and automotive repair facility, this after a tornado completely destroyed Bobs service station in Charles City Iowa.
Upon establishing his service station business in Indio, Bob soon became a sought after and trusted mechanic. With the automotive shop continuing to prosper and grow, Bob saw this as an opportunity to invest in a tow truck to compliment his repair facility.
Initially Bob bought his first tow truck for the purpose of better servicing his loyal customers, but like his reputation as a fair and honest mechanic word quickly spread that you could call Bob day or night for a tow and be treated fairly.
It was during those early towing days, that Bobs youngest son Trent would do everything in his power to ride shotgun with his dad in a tow truck starting at around age 5.
